The party and their army sailed to Sembia and Baerauble Etharr used High Magic to lift the sunken city out of the sea. The ruined buildings landed on the coast of Sembia and hordes of Shadowborn began to pile out.
While the armies of Cormyr began engaging them they were surprised by a Zhentarim cavalry charge and a horde of gnolls that were apparently working with the Zhents.
The battle lasted quite some time – during this time a few units of soldiers showed exemplary performance. Additionally, the priestesses of Selune turned out to be Dark Moon Monks in disguise – they betrayed the Purple Dragons and wreaked havoc on their units. Fortunately, Selune herself took pity on the situation and sent a Planetar to handle the Dark Moon Monks. She tore their soul from their bodies, and then returned to the heavens.
In the end, Cormyr was victorious, and the Shard was recovered. Over the next several centuries the ruins of Sakoors slowly drifted back into the depths of the ocean.
Arathluth appeared and gave the party the shard of the shadow stone, informing him that he succeeded in sealing the portal.
